Johan Rambi is independent Privacy & Cyber Security advisor and founder of the company RambiCo. He is specialized in the development and implementation of corporate Privacy & Security policies, guidelines and IT governance structures.

Johan supports organizations with Privacy & Data Protection (Impact) assessments, privacy & security trainings, definition of security requirements and implementation of measures in the role of subject matter expert. As former Privacy & Security officer at Liander, Johan implemented the Privacy Audit Proof certification controls for the Smart Metering processes. He has in depth knowledge of GDPR requirements and experience in the implementation of these requirements.

Johan has been active in several European expert groups (e.g. Energy Expert Cyber Security Platform, Network and Information Security platform, Data Protection Impact Assessment template) for the European Commission on Privacy and Cyber Security. As evangelist Johan speaks at conferences in Europe, US and Asia about Privacy, Data Protection, Smart Meter- and Smart Grid Cyber Security.

In December 2015 Johan co-founded, the European Energy-ISAC (EE-ISAC) to promote international collaboration and information sharing through public private partnership (PPP). Furthermore Johan supported the establishment of the Japanese Energy ISAC (JE-ISAC) and coordinated the formal partnership between EE-ISAC and JE-ISAC.

Johan is also faculty member of Webster University in Leiden and instructor of the Master of Science in Cyber Security program. Johan worked as privacy & security advisor, architect and consultant in different organizations for the last 20 years.
